Spooky Season Song: Pete’s The Ghost Goes Boo
In terms of the ‘Songs for a Spooky Season‘ playlist, Pete’s ‘The Ghost Goes Boo’ is a bit of a rarity — it is an all-out Halloween song, and, weirdly, the playlist doesn’t contain too many of those.
Pete is a talented guy. Aside from his solo work, he is one of the co-lead vocalists of the popular alt-pop band With Violet. He, and his With Violet bandmate Spencer Fitzgerald, have written a book and are responsible for the theatrical production Trummp The Musical.
When he turns his attention to Halloween, you know it ought to be good, and ‘The Ghost Goes Boo’ delivers.
The track clocks in at just two-and-half minutes but it has Halloween party energy for days, with the timeless retro-fun vibe that’s become a hallmark of Pete’s music.
If that weren’t reason enough to check it out, how about nostalgia? “The Ghost Goes Boo’ has a fun spoken-word section that must be an homage to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller.’
All in all, it’s a perfect, fun-sized Halloween treat.
Check it out!

Songs for a Spooky Season Playlist
Okay, they’re not all Halloween songs, but this playlist of Newfoundland and Labrador artists cover a range of themes that definitely help to set the end of October mood.
Ghosts, demons, murderers, devils, dead bodies, hell, Shakespearean witch quotes, gothic novel references, wolves howling, slasher-flick killers… this playlist’s got them all.
