Rachel Cousins: For Myself

There is something cathartic about a good pop song — it can put you in touch with feelings you didn’t know you were having.

That’s just one of the things I appreciate about Rachel Cousins’ new track ‘For Myself.’ She’s got an empowering message about learning to own your life and not taking a backseat. At least that’s how I hear it.

Sonically, the track is R&B tinged dance-pop and, well, effortlessly cool. It suits the lyrical themes perfectly — as if the song were saying, “yeah, I’m cool but, I’m just doing it for myself.”  idk.

Check it out.
