This Christmas by BRDGS
Making a second appearance in the calendar-countdown is BRDGS.
I’m a big fan of BRDGS. As I’ve written before, the former Steady Brook resident has been crafting amazing pop songs for years (check out his early work as part of Everglow).
His new ep A Very BRDGS CHRSTMS Vol. 1 continues the theme. You should assume pop means happy though. ‘This Christmas,’ is not exactly a joyful romp. It paints a picture of someone who’s happier in the memories of Christmases past than they are in the present day.
A sad holiday song can still be a great holiday song.
