Rozalind MacPhail: Never Let Go

Atmospheric and affecting, Rozalind MacPhail’s Never Let Go serves an honest glimpse of love and loss… in pop music form. The track is percussive, lush and layered but feels spacious. It’s a beautiful track on all levels, really.

To be honest, I find it hard to think clearly about this song because, basically, I stop thinking and I start feeling. I connect, then I start wandering down emotional byways, revisiting the love/loss in my own life.

It’s a special song.

Check it out above, complete with its video featuring footage from Joshua Jamieson’s short film Waiting Outside. You can watch the film in its entirety on CBC Gem, its part of the Reel East Coast series (S6, EP3).
