Writer’s Tears by Midnight Watch

Midnight Watch are helping me survive this frustratingly grey Monday.

Their new song ‘Writer’s Tears’ is a high energy alt-country track that’s instantly infectious— in no small part due to the refrain “we’ll burn the whole thing down.”

For me any way, that line alone makes it a guaranteed sing-along song.

I mean, who doesn’t want to set the world on fire from time to time?

The St. John’s-based band is made-up of some familiar names in the local scene — Evan AuCoin, Liam Peacock, Kieran Dooley, Lucas Spurrell, and Rowan Sherlock. Not sure I’ve ever heard them quite this country before… but I like it.

The track was released a couple of weeks ago and is available on Bandcamp and in all the usual places.

Brighten your day and check it out.
