Kim Stockwood’s I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm

Singing in the shower totally counts as positive self-talk, right?

Let’s go with it.

I choose to believe that if Kim Stockwood can face down the December storms she describes in I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm I can too. I can toss off my overcoat and brave the forecast… which, at the time of writing includes 25+ cm of snow. Stockwood’s rendition is a laidback, lightly jazzy version of the song that perfectly captures the ‘come what may’ attitude of the song.

Totally belongs in your holiday playlists. Check it out on her 2006 release ‘I Love Santa.’  While you’re there listen to her, (equally positive take on snow) Marshmallow World.

Newfoundland Christmas Music

Stay tuned for more great Newfoundland Christmas music.

I'm a big fan of traditional Christmas music, I love to hear a modern rendition of a 300 year old carol but, occasionally, a brand new song comes to my attention and dominates my Christmas listening.

Newfoundland's musicians have been holding their own in both regards. I’ll be sharing a song a day from now until Christmas in a NFLD Music Advent Calendar.
